Around 1.5 million kilometers from Earth, at the Lagrange point 1 (L1) of the Sun-Earth system, is where Aditya-L1 is expected to be positioned in a halo orbit. When it launches, India's Aditya L1 solar observatory project will be the first of its kind in space.
