The installation of the statue depicting Jijabai Bhonsle and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in their youth took place in Jijamata Udyan in the year 1992. The statues are constructed from a singular material, namely bronze, and possess a height of approximately 9 feet. In the year 2022, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation installed a copper meghdambari, also known as a royal umbrella, over the statue. This endeavor incurred an expenditure of ₹43 lakhs.
