On October 22, 1964, in Mumbai, Amit Shah was born to Gujarati parents Mrs. Kusumben and Mr. Anilchandra Shah. After completing his 16 years of education in his Gujarati ancestral the village of Mansa, he and his family relocated to Ahmedabad. Since he was a young child, Shah has been a patriot and an avid reader. He was motivated by the biographies of famous nationalists and had aspirations of helping his motherland and advancing his country.

When the emergency-era general elections were place in 1977, Shah was only 13 years old. He actively participated in the election campaign, putting up posters and stickers supporting Maniben Patel, the candidate who is the daughter of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, despite his young age. At that time, she was running for the Mehsana Lok Sabha constituency as a Jana Sangh nominee.

Amit Shah was appointed BJP secretary of the Ahmedabad branch in 1989. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi movement was sweeping the nation during this time. In the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi agitation and afterwards in the Ekta Yatra, Amit Shah carried out the duties assigned to him by the party. Amit Shah did a great job managing the elections for Shri LK Advani and Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee when they ran for the Lok Sabha in Gandhinagar. Up until 2009, he was in charge of overseeing Advani's Lok Sabha elections.

Amit Shah essentially worked his way up from the bottom to lead India's dominant party. He initially joined the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), eventually rising to the position of Ahmedabad city unit secretary. Initially, he joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. Later, he also took on the duties of BJP, Gujarat State's Secretary and Vice President. He was appointed the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha's (BJYM) national treasurer in 1997.His commitment, skill, and performance that prioritized results made him in charge of various national leaders' election campaigns, including those of L. K. Advani in 1991 and Atal Bihari Vajpayee in 1996, both in the Gandhi Nagar Parliamentary constituency. Amit Shah was once again the campaign chief when Shri Narendra Modi decided to run in his maiden Assembly Election in 2001 from the Rajkot-2 assembly constituency.

Amit Shah was assigned control of the Ministry of Cooperation after it was established by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on July 6, 2021. Amit Shah has a wide range of experience in the cooperative industry. Through this ministry, Amit Shah is attempting to strengthen the cooperative movement in order to meet the challenges of the modern period, while also eradicating instability, establishing a transparent system, and regaining the trust of the smallest farmer in the cooperative industry. According to Shah, India may become a strong cooperative moment and significantly increase the GDP of the nation.
