The coveted Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honor, was awarded to Tendulkar, the only cricketer to have scored 100 international hundreds. At the age of 16 years and 205 days, Tendulkar made his Test debut for India. Tendulkar was also the youngest player to make his ODI debut for India at the age of 16 years and 238 days.
