Mukesh Dhirubhai Ambani is a business mogul in India who has amassed a lot of wealth. As of right now, Mukesh Ambani is Reliance Industries' Chairman and Managing Director. Currently ranked as the world's seventh richest person, Mukesh Dhirubhai Ambani is the second richest person in Asia. Forbes magazine, which is read all over the world, says that Mukesh Ambani is the richest person in India and the 19th richest person in the world. He was born on April 19, 1957, as Mukesh Dhirubhai Ambani in Aden, which is now Yemen and was a British Crown Colony. His parents were Dhirubhai Ambani and Kokilaben Ambani. His sisters are Nina Bhadrashyam Kothari and Dipti Dattaraj Salgaocar, and his younger brother is Anil Ambani. Following a year in Yemen, Mukesh Ambani's father, Dhirubhai Ambani, returned to India in 1958 to begin a business selling spices and textiles. Mukesh Ambani had a two-bedroom residence in Bhuleshwar, Mumbai, until the 1970s. When Mukesh Ambani's family's financial situation had stabilized, his father had purchased the Sea Wind apartment building in Colaba, which consisted of 14 stories. Mukesh Ambani and his brother Anil both attended Hill Grange High School on Mumbai's Peddar Road for their secondary education. To finish his secondary education, he enrolled at St. Xavier's College in Mumbai. Mukesh Ambani graduated from the Institute of Chemical Technology with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He was accepted to Stanford for an MBA program, but he ended up dropping school to assist his dad create Reliance.

In 1981, after Mukesh Ambani had moved back to India, he assisted his father in establishing Reliance Industries Limited. By now, the family business had branched out into the petrochemical, retail, and telecommunications sectors as well as refining. Reliance Retail Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary, is India's largest retail chain. Mukesh Ambani is the owner of the Indian Super League and the Mumbai Indians of the Indian Premier League. Ambani had to make significant contributions to the building of the Patalganga Petrochemical Plant while he was only 24 years old. Because it has begun making significant investments in the oil refining and petrochemicals industries. After Mukesh's father passed away on July 6, 2002, their mother, Kokilaben Ambani, settled the disagreement by dividing the business in two. Mukesh Ambani, the founder of Reliance Industries, and Bharti Airtel established a joint venture to build India's 4G network's digital infrastructure in December 2013. Internally, he inaugurated 4G broadband services on December 27, 2015, and publicly promised an investment of Rs 1.8 trillion across enterprises over the next three years on June 18, 2014. Jio introduced its own 4G smartphone in 2016, dubbed the LYF. In terms of sales in India, the smartphone ranked third overall.  Jio 4G began its commercial rollout that September.

On Monday, August 29, 2022, at the 45th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Reliance Industries, Mukesh Ambani announced the succession plan for the leadership roles, saying that his sons Akash and Isha would be in charge of Reliance Jio and Reliance Retail, respectively, and his younger son Anant would be in charge of Reliance Energy.
